i definitely want to participate in WHD, but as far as i know, i'm the only hooper in my are (Oklahoma City) and i've only been hooping a couple of months. what can i do to spread some hooping love on WHD since i'm sort of flyin' solo out here. all i can think of is to just take all my hoops (i've got about 7 or so) to somewhere where locals gather outside and hoop and see if anyone wants to join in. any other ideas??

I would suggest that you pick a location where there are children. Adults seem to be more shy of giving the hoop a whirl. The kids will give it a go, and then you can encourage the parents to try it, too. Once there are a few people hooping, others will be more likely to join in.
You could also make a sign saying something like: World Hoop Day! Come Play!

Great suggestion to pick a spot the kiddos will be.
Also, if there's already something happening in the way of an outdoor gathering, you could bring your hoops and hoop love there.
